GENERAL Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has commissioned the remodeled head-quarters parish building of the First Born Family, RCCG Dominion Sanctuary, Region 19, an ultra modern edifice in Ogba, Lagos.

The two-storey building project housing offices for national officers, elders, ministers’ rooms, prayer foyer, vestry, pastors in charge of the parish and the region, expanded gallery, a bookshop, etc, which took approximately 10 months to complete, started in September last year and was officially completed in July this year.

The remodeled office block is also an addition to the existing structure which already houses floor for youth, children church, toddler classes, play rooms, and a multi-purpose hall. The dedication which had the theme: ”Dream-Like Miracles,” witnessed a large turnout of worshippers from across the globe. Pastor Adeboye who prayed for dream-like miracles to the parishioners, said: “Miracles are in categories of wonders, signs, greatness, superior, special and dream-like which also is in category of physical, material, social and spiritual. Some miracles happen that you will still think you are dreaming.”

Mother-In-Israel, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye who also prayed with the parishioners for more blessings and breakthroughs, congratulated the Ikeja Family and elders for their exemplary work, especially in nurturing the church to greatness. In recognition of their contribution towards the growth of Christianity in Nigeria and their role in respect of Christian Social Responsibility endeavour of the RCCG, Pastor Adeboye and wife were decorated with Chaplain General and Patroness General of the Boys Brigade of Nigeria respectively.

Pastor-In-Charge of Region 19/Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Missions, Pastor Brown Oyitso expressed appreciation to Pastor Adeboye, the people that God used to restart the parish many years ago, past leaders who toiled in prayer, fasting and laborious work to build the family and many others who have contributed to the success of the parish. He prayed that “as the remodeled building is being dedicated by our father in the Lord to the amazement of many, so shall we experience dream-like miracles and the Lord will fill our mouths with laughter in the name of Jesus”.

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, represented by Head of Service, Mrs. Folashade Adesoye felicitated with the parish on the dedication of the sanctuary in which he had the grace to serve as a worker. The dedication, according to him, “should be a reminder for all to rededicate to service and continue to pray for peace and unity of the country. “It gladdens my heart to be part of the dedication of this sanctuary in which I had the grace and privilege to serve as a worker. The memory of this great sanctuary transcends the physical for every member and non-member of this parish that has contributed one way or the other to the completion of this beautiful edifice,” the governor said.

According to him, ”Our good deeds should not be limited to the four walls of this sanctuary. We must also extend our hands of fellowship to people in our community. As clergies and Christians, we must continue to pray for peace and unity for our people. As we gather to witness this dedication, I pray that everything concerning our lives, as state and as country, shall be renewed and rewarded for unprecedented greatness in Jesus name.”

Eminent personalities that graced the occasion included traditional rulers from the Ikeja area, the Special Assist-ant to the General Overseer on Admin/Personnel, Pastor Johnson Funso Odesola, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Christian Social Responsibility, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, Vice Chancellor of the Redeemers University, Ede, Professor Debo Adeyewa, Chairman, Guinness Nigeria Plc, Mr. Babatunde Abayomi Savage, publisher of Vanguard Newspapers, Mr. Sam Amuka, and a host of other dignitaries from across the globe.
