Since April this year, Microsoft has been working on Office 2019 apps for Windows business users and it is finally opening a new preview program for users of the Macintosh.
Just as is the case with the Windows version that had its preview build released in the month of April, the Macintosh version is specifically designated for businesses that are not making use of Office 365 which has all the recent features and updates.
The company releases updates for Office 365 usually, however, these other separate releases of Office are prepared to suit users who are not willing to move to the cloud.

The Office 2019 designed for the Macintosh will come with a roaming pencil case as well as ribbon customizations that will go over all Office apps. Microsoft also intends to bring focus mode to Word in conjunction with a new translator and improvements in accessibility. In addition, SVG and 3D model support, play in-click sequence, and 4k video export are all coming to PowerPoint.
On Microsoft Excel, new features as new funnel charts, 2D maps, and functions (CONCAT, TEXTJOIN, IFS, SWITCH) will be incorporated.
The focused inbox feature of Microsoft Outlook both on desktop and mobile devices will also be arriving with the Macintosh version of Office 2019 and it will be arriving with alongside @ mentions, email templates, read and delivery receipts, and scheduled delivery of emails.
Also available are certain features for IT that will aid in the simplification of deployment and management. This will give IT administrators the ability to control the release of Office updates over all their devices.
Within the second half of this year, the Office 2019 for the Macintosh will be available and it will be shipped along with Office 2019 for Windows. As many businesses out there who are interested can therefore check out the preview.
