Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We wrestle not against flesh and blood as a Christian, which as make us to understand that the journey is not just a journey of come and play as we see it in many Christian nowadays, it is war based journey and a powerless man don’t go for a battle, don’t dare it if you not empower you’re not for the battle stay back, don’t come and play.
To play in the midst of battle is to die casualty. [Dr. Paul Eneche.]
I will like to get you to understand that the above scripture is not just for some certain set of people, or some spiritual leaders or our pastors as some Christian do think or say.
As a matter of fact is for all the Christian, so far you’re a Christian you have every word of God to attend, personal revelation and what God wants to do with our lives now differs in the kind of warfare we war, but as a Christian everyone should have a warfare mindset because the battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers of the darkness of this world. It is a war that we need to prepare for; we really need to live a war ready life as Christian.
To be sincere with ourselves to war warfare there is a requirement of power, power is required, and power is needed. No one goes to battle without been empowered or loaded with power.
What is power?
Power is physical force or strength, capability or influence.
Another definition say power is the ability to do work.
As a Christian how can we be empower for this journey?
What’s our source of empower? How do we go about this?
Good, I won’t let us of be ignorant of the fact many Christian has neglected and denied the ministry of the Holy Ghost, even many Christian don’t want to talk about it, and to be candid with us as a Christian there’s no other place where empowerment can come asides from the gift Jesus Christ our lord promised us, his life is what he gave up for our sin and the Holy Ghost is what he gave us to empower us John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; this is his promise for us that he will send a helper, a comforter, a source of empowerment that he may abide with us forever, not for some certain period of time but forever.
It get me amazed when some Christian will be like I believe in Jesus Christ but I don’t believe in the holy Ghost, then what is your proof of believing Jesus Christ if you don’t believe his word and what he promised us himself.
We can’t not neglect the ministry of the Holy Ghost as Christian if really desire to be empowered, I tell if there’s any means we can be empowered as a Christian for this journey we need the ministry of the spirit of God.
Act 1: 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
What brings about the power is the Holy Ghost, you want empowerment you need Holy Ghost, to build up your faith you need the Holy Ghost, to get and secure revelation you need the Holy Ghost, to live beyond the physical realm you need the Holy Ghost.
I tell you as a Christian we need to understand the ministry and the person of the Holy Spirit for empowerment, that’s our source of power for the warfare, you can just go far in this journey without his ministry, he is to help us, guide us in all truth, we war with a high forces we need a very higher force to tackle them.
We need a source we can tap into to tap and draw power as we journey on as a Christian.
God bless you.
