The Bible helps us to see that Satan’s key goal is to take God’s throne.

In pursuit of this goal, Satan led a rebellion in heaven amongst God’s angels.

The angels that aligned with Satan at that time are what we know as demons today.

For neither Satan, nor those that take his side, can ever overcome God.

Satan’s STATEMENT OF INTENT is clearly written in Isaiah 14:13-15: “You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I WILL MAKE MYSELF LIKE THE MOST HIGH.

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” And so, the battle was set!

With all his cunning might, Satan has set about the pursuit of this goal for eons. In 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, we see a progression of that goal “… the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that HE AS GOD SITTETH IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, shewing himself that he is God”. Jesus makes reference to a similar phenomenon in Matthew 24:15, in reference to the prophecy in Daniel 9:27. This is a future event that will signal the zenith of Satan’s power.

In his operation to assume the throne of God, Satan has always been ruthless, deceitful, and methodical. In the Garden of Eden, he STOLE God’s place in the heart of Eve, and through that, in the heart of the whole human race.

While Moses was up in the mountain receiving God’s commandments for man, Satan moved surreptitiously among the people of God, and influenced them to set up the idol of the golden calf (Exodus 32). In this way, devil-worship commenced right in the camp of God’s people! And that trend was on-and-off throughout the Old Testament.

The coming of Jesus Christ offers mankind A NEW BEGINNING in, once again, becoming separated unto God. Thus, all those that believe in Jesus Christ are described as ‘THE CALLED OUT ASSEMBLY’; ‘Ekklesia’ in the Greek language. These ones are meant to be COMPLETELY set apart to God – living ‘IN CHRIST’, under the new rules of life that God gave to mankind through Jesus Christ.

As always, Satan has slithered his way into the midst of this group, finding every avenue to compromise the undiluted word of God, and bring the people of God into bondage again (Galatians 2:4). Cunningly, Satan has strategically planted his men in God’s church, masquerading them as ‘ministers of righteousness’ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). It was so in the early church, and it is still so today – even more so. Satan’s men are everywhere. Leading us, deceiving us.

From within the church, these agents of Satan are working tirelessly to corrupt the Body of Christ that is being built as an HABITATION OF GOD through the Spirit (Ephesians 2:22). This satanic operation has been going on for centuries, gathering momentum and influence. And what we call the ‘CHURCH SYSTEM’ of today is the visible result of that satanic agenda. The agenda is to infiltrate God’s people, and weaken the power of the Gospel in their midst, and in their message to the world. This accounts for why the church of today is generally powerless in the things of the Spirit, and in influencing the world towards godliness.

There is no doubt that Satan will be largely ‘successful’ in his plan. The Bible makes this crystal clear to us. In Luke 18:8, Jesus wondered if he would find true faith on earth at His second coming. In Matthew 24:12, He made it clear that the increase of iniquity in the Last days will make the love of many for Him to wax cold. Apostle Paul told us that many believers will abhor sound doctrines in the Last Days, and prefer to be serenaded with fables (2 Timothy 4:3-4). In 2 Thessalonian 2:3, he even mentioned a ‘falling away’ that will precede the arrival of the Antichrist. So, Satan will not be without ‘success’ in his operation. Many believers will fall

his lies. As many have fallen today.

The most poignant picture of this trend of satanic ‘success’ is seen in Revelation 3: 14-22, in the story of the church in Laodicea – the LAST church to be addressed in a series of seven churches (please don’t overlook the significance of that). That church had COMPLETELY missed God’s purpose for its existence, and had become contented because they had become rich, increased with goods, and had need of nothing (verse 17). In the process of His evaluation, Jesus described that same church as “…wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked…”.

The church had become so compromised that Jesus said He would vomit it OUT OF HIS MOUTH (verse 16), unless they repented. In verse 20, He started knocking on the door of the hearts of His people, stating that THOSE THAT HAVE AN EAR will open to Him, and He would have fellowship with those ones.

Friends, this is the stage we are in the church today! Jesus has started knocking on the door of the hearts of His people again – for those who have an ear. Jesus is doing this because, through the church system of today, Satan has corrupted, and continues to corrupt the people of God. And Jesus is calling those who have an ear to COME OUT of the satanic church system, and return into true fellowship with Him.

Calling them to return back to His unadulterated word. Back to Himself. And back to the Father. For this is where these ones will find the true FELLOWSHIP that their hearts long for.

But it is a matter of choice. A choice we all have to make. We may choose to remain in the church system and hope to eventually lead Satan to repentance! Or, more wisely, we may choose to leave Satan’s system, and seek a return to true fellowship with Jesus Christ.

This step in itself WILL NOT BE EASY – for nothing will be easy for the believers in this end-time! For in this end-time, we are in the midst of the fiercest spiritual battle in the heavenlies.

And every man and woman will have to make a choice of where to pitch his/her tent. In making this choice, DECEPTION will be rampant; as both Jesus and his Apostles warned us in the Bible.

But for those who choose to honour God above everything else, HELP IS AVAILABLE. God’s light is available to lead us out of the darkness around us. But the price will be COSTLY. For it is ONLY those that are truly ready to (1) deny themselves (2) carry their cross, and (3) follow Jesus closely that shall make it Home safely (Luke 9:23). As Jesus said, it is ONLY those that are ready to lose their lives for His sake that shall preserve it till the Last day (Luke 17:33). Taking this step may be a challenge, because in its deception, the church system of today has not taught its patrons what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

This is where we are today. Please open your eyes, and open your heart to God in these evil days. The Spirit of God is on hand to help every sincere pilgrim to make it back Home safely. But, first, we need to make the tough choices about our spiritual destiny. PLS CHOOSE WISELY.
