Illiteracy is a Disease but Bible Illiteracy is a Deadly Disease

Glory be to God in heaven for another awesome topic to talk about.

What is illiteracy?

There are so many meaning to illiteracy but I will stick to “not knowing very much about a particular subject.”

Being ignorant of the word of God as a Christian is deadly.

As a Christian you are meant to be in command but without the things needed for you to be in command you can’t and will not be in command, you will only be a pray to the enemy.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate on it day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein…” (Joshua 1:8)

To study is scriptural because that is what will make you approved, and put you in command.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God. A workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

If you don’t have any weapon to use against the devil, he will deal with you. If all you need to cast out the devil is just to say “get out!” then everyone can do that but the bible made us to understand that we need the written word of God to stand against the devil.

When Jesus came out of the wilderness after a forty days and night fasting, the devil came to Him to tempt Him.

In a normal sense the devil should not have been able to come near Him at that time because He was filled with power though He was tired and hungry but with that long time waiting upon the Lord, He has acquired a dangerous level of power that He can use to destroy the devil but still the devil came and we were made to understand that Jesus had to use the written word three times to resist the devil.

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. (Luke 4 :4)

“And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” (Luke 4:8)

And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. (Luke 4:12)

Jesus had to use the written word, how much more us. The written word has the Spirit of God in it. When you read the Bible you get to acquire the spirit of God, with that your spirit man is edified and thereby putting you in command.
