Bishop Oyedepo Passed Comment on Pastor Adeboye’s Retirement

By  |

“If you heard or saw anything in the newspapers or anywhere that the G.O has retired, it’s a lie of the devil. In our spiritual family tree we don’t retire. Someone asked Kenneth Copeland ” are you stepping down”, he replied, ‘no I’m stepping up’.

Copeland ministered for 6 hrs straight at 80 yrs of age.”

Men and brethren settle down and enjoy my being here. I’m going to be here for a very long time.

I spoke to my father in the Lord ( Pastor Adeboye ) in person and he said let them enjoy the confusion for a moment’.

I believe in the covenant of 120yrs.

I can preach for 10 services now and that proves I have many more years before I go.

If you hear anything, it’s illegal and not passed into law.

I’m not serving or earning anything from any body or government. No government can determine the constitution of the church and they know.

I was called by God into the prophetic in 1981 and the apostolic ministry in 1992.
No authority or law can frustrate an apostolic calling if it’s from God.

Forget my height oo.

All the demons in Nigeria know who’s who. Just relax.”

They are trespassing their limits in their stupor. They could also determine how many years General Overseers aught to live on earth n when it gets to that time, they should be forced to die or kill them. They are fools that make laws for God. Issues related to men of God only d problem of these people, how many laws hav they made for the Sultan n the imams? They are drunk.

Why did such a satanic law and constitution allowed the election of Buhari at 70 years and seems desiring to contest again in 2019 after the first 4years?

It’s only in Nigeria we see things like this. What connection has the church of God and the stupid constitution of a country? Or what relationship has politics and Christianity? Has the church of God become a campaign ground? The church has to do something about this now or prepared to preache the topics prepared by politicians. Jehovah God is not an author of confusion.

In our spiritual family tree, we don’t retire, you only step up. The enemies of the church have always fought against the church but they know for sure that God will fight for His own. The church is marching on and the no gate shall prevail against her.

Do you blame the unbelievers, whose aim is to decimate the Church? I will rather blame the good for nothing surrogate, who allowed himself to be used in an attempt to destroy and weaken the Chuech in Nigeria and then, got dumped.

My brother, G.O is only an office as MD. A time will come when you need to step aside for someone else for accountability purpose. Orthodox churches has been practising this from day one, you stepping down as GO doesn’t stop you from working for God sir

God is glorified and His will is fulfilled when you submit to His governing authorities. In Romans 13:1a Paul writes: “Every person is to be in subjection to the governing3 authorities.”4 The command begins with the words, “Every person” (pasa psuche lit. “every soul”).5 This includes believers and unbelievers, rich and poor, great and small, without exception.6 But Paul’s primary concern is that believers “submit” to governing authorities. The verb “submit” (hupotasso)7 means “to place oneself under.”8 After reading this blanket command, some look for exceptions. However, here Paul provides the general rule, not the exceptions. Of course, there are at least three areas in which a Christian should resist authority: (1) If he or she is asked to violate a command of God.9 (2) If he or she is asked to commit an immoral or unethical act. (3) If he or she is asked to go against his/her conscience.10 But when a believer resists authority he/she must be willing to accept the consequences (see 13:2). Submission is never easy and frequently there are grave ethical dilemmas.11

Fortunately, in 13:1b Paul gives the first reason you must submit to government. He writes, “For there is no authority except from12 God, and those which exist are established by God.”13 This is the first of four uses of the word “authority” (exousia), which means “delegated authority.”14 Paul’s entire argument is based upon a fundamental premise: God is sovereign and He possesses ultimate authority. However, no one has authority independent of God. (Underline the word “no” in 13:1b).15 He alone delegates human authority to people. This means that every government is to be acknowledged and obeyed by virtue of its existence, not because it meets your preferences. The term that is translated “established” or “ordained” (tetagmenai from tasso)16 is in the perfect tense, referring to a past action with continuous results. Paul means that all governments (past, present, and future) that exist are ordained by God, whether good or bad.17.

God created government to establish order, punish evil, and promote justice (Genesis 9:6; 1 Corinthians 14:33; Romans 12:8). We are to obey the government in everything—paying taxes, obeying rules and laws, and showing respect. If we do not, we are ultimately showing disrespect towards God, for He is the One who placed that government over us. When the apostle Paul wrote to the Romans, he was under the government of Rome during the reign of Nero, perhaps the most evil of all the Roman emperors. Paul still recognized the Roman government’s rule over him. How can we do any less?

The next question is “Is there a time when we should intentionally disobey the laws of the land?” The answer to that question may be found in Acts 5:27-29, “Having brought the apostles, they made them appear before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the high priest. ‘We gave you strict orders not to teach in this Name,’ he said. ‘Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.’ Peter and the other apostles replied: ‘We must obey God rather than men!’“ From this, it is clear that as long as the law of the land does not contradict the law of God, we are bound to obey the law of the land. As soon as the law of the land contradicts God’s command, we are to disobey the law of the land and obey God’s law. However, even in that instance, we are to accept the government’s authority over us. This is demonstrated by the fact that Peter and John did not protest being flogged, but instead rejoiced that they suffered for obeying God (Acts 5:40-42).

did anyone pick or choose these people as Gos in the first place as in d case of orthodox churches, mostly funded by europeans. if nobody choose them as go. only God dt choose them can retire them. Church is not a business centre. They are accountable to d God who choose n ordain them.. if u think otherwise, go and start a church.. u wilk suffer

Are you saying the orthodox churches and four square heads chooses themselves? If not, what’s your argument about?

God sometimes allow something to happen to prove a point and to correct people when they are going astray. Majority of churchs are no longer preaching the true word of God all they say money is Jesus, Jesus is money. TheyBecame parasite to God by collecting money in the name of God and turn it into personal wealth, laying treasure in earth not in heaven building chains of business with Gods money for their children in expense of the poor ones without any atom of mercy defrauding anyone that come across then that is why they are having problems among themselves snake want to swallow snake. Infact God has left most of them, people are flooding around them because of name not presence of God for most cant perform any miracle except fake. There is one man of God who’s ways is different, no pastor ever mention his name because he gives all to charity, orphan widow sick victims of crises, fire flood mentioned but few. A man who has no investment for his children who lives like Jesus and the apostles. no other person than prophet t b Joshua i dont think anybody will ask him to step because he is a living example of Christ. Did you hear where apostles ask Jesus to step down but this mellnum pastor is an irony.
